Try Bowls with Bowls Scotland!

The National Try Bowls Weekend is rolling across Scotland from the 1st to 4th May, giving you the perfect chance to give bowls a go at your local club. Whether you’ve never picked up a bowl before or you’re just curious to try something new, everyone is welcome!

Participating clubs across the country will be opening their doors for relaxed, friendly sessions where you can step onto the green, get some quick guidance from experienced players, and have a go straight away. No experience, no pressure, and no special kit needed – just turn up and enjoy it.

Bowls is easier than you might think, and a lot more fun than people expect. It’s social, a bit competitive if you want it to be, and a great way to spend time outdoors meeting new people in your community.

Across the weekend, local clubs will be welcoming new faces and showing just how accessible the sport really is. You might come along for a quick try and end up discovering a new hobby.
